Effortless solutions for windows and doors

Everyone builds the exact same extension.

Flat roof. Massive bifolds right across the back. It looks incredible from the garden.

But step inside.

The Dark Box

Walk ten feet back from those new doors. Head towards where the old exterior wall used to be.

It goes pitch black.

People spend twenty grand on an extension and accidentally turn the middle of their house into a cave. The bifolds only throw light so far. The back of the room stays dark all day.

You end up turning the kitchen spotlights on at two o’clock in the afternoon.

The Kitchen Island Fix

You need to punch a hole in the roof.

A roof lantern fixes the dark box instantly. It sits on the flat roof and pulls the sun straight down.

Position it right above the kitchen island or the dining table. It acts like a massive natural spotlight. It dumps light exactly where you prep food and eat. The whole space completely changes. It feels huge.

Ditch the Chunky Plastic

You don’t want a cheap plastic roof dome. They look terrible and the thick white frames block half the sky.

You need slimline aluminium.

Aluminium is incredibly strong. That means the structural bars holding the glass up can be razor-thin. You look up and just see glass. No chunky plastic. No thick borders. Just sky.

Plan It Early

Don’t wait until the roof is built to think about light.

Come down to 78 Alma Road before the builders start. Look at the aluminium roof lanterns we have on display. Look at how thin the bars actually are, or give us a call on 01202 533126.
