Effortless solutions for windows and doors

You can’t drive through Ferndown or Winton these days without seeing it.

White uPVC is out. Grey is in.

Anthracite Grey has basically become the uniform for renovations down here. It cleans up the look of the house immediately.

The “50 Shades” Problem

Here is the issue we see all the time.

A homeowner buys a new composite front door from one firm. Then they buy a roller garage door from somewhere else.

They order “Anthracite” for both. They think it’s safe.

It isn’t.

When the doors go in, you spot it. The front door has a blue tinge to it. The garage door looks a bit green.

They are both technically “grey,” but next to each other, they look wrong. It ruins the whole finish.

RAL 7016: The Only Code That Matters

We don’t guess with colours. “Anthracite” is just a vague marketing name.

We work off the RAL 7016 code.

This is the industry standard. By sticking to the code, we know the Rockdoor on your porch matches the Alutech door on your garage.

When the sun hits the front of the house, they look like a pair. No clashing, no different batches.

Don’t Do Half a Job

Your garage door is the biggest thing on the front of the house.

If you spend good money on a new front door but leave a battered, rusty white garage door next to it, it drags the whole house down.

You are better off doing them together and getting the colours bang on.

Check It Yourself

Don’t pick these colours off a phone screen.

We have the Rockdoors and the Garage Doors fitted in the showroom at 78 Alma Road.

Stand in front of them. Check the finish. Make sure you are happy with the match before you order anything. Give us a call on 01202 533126
